OR-DBM MRMC 2.51 Installation
IMPORTANT NOTE: UNFORTUNATELY THIS PROGRAM CAN NO LONGER BE INSTALLED BECAUSE MICROSOFT NO LONGER MAKES THE .NET FRAMEWORKS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD. WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDS FOR A WEB-BASED REPLACEMENT FOR THIS PROGRAM.
To install DBM MRMC, download the zip file containing the Windows installer below. At this point in time, only a Windows version of the program is available. If you have a version of DBM MRMC prior to 2.51 installed, it MUST be removed prior to installing the current version. The program should be installed in your username folder or the Public folder on your computer. If you do this, administrative privileges are not required.
.NET Framework Version 1.1 is required. It does not come installed in Windows 7, 8.1, or 10. It is available from Microsoft (.NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package). A download link is provided below. Also download and install the Service Pack before installing OR-DBM-MRMC.
When downloading the file, the user should select the “Save” option rather than the “Open” option when downloading because it is necessary to save the zip file to the user’s hard drive for proper extraction. The zip file contains one file: mrmc_setup_251.exe". Double-clicking on the executable will begin the installation process. The installer will install the program to the Documents folder on the user’s machine. This is necessary for people with standard user privileges to install and run the software in Windows. The installer will also create a Start menu entry and desktop shortcut for the program. An uninstaller for the program is also created. Unless you have administrator privileges, it is also important to have data files in your Documents folder in order for the program to work with standard user privileges.
